QUICK-START TIPS:
Tip 1 Turning on the Camera requires a firm grip and is best accomplished with 2 hands. (SEE FIGURE 1)

Tip 2 Bring fresh Energizer AA e2 Lithium batteries and new Scandisk brand SD cards with you when on a hunt. Having spare batteries and SD cards is also beneficial. You have spent lots of time and resources preparing for your hunt; don’t miss your footage by forgetting to have enough power and memory on hand. Additional information on Batteries and SD cards are available in the FAQ’s (link to FAQ). (SEE FIGURE 2)

Tip 3 Practice holding your bow straight. This sounds so easy to do, but habits take a bit of time to reprogram. Dropping your bow will occur without practice. Remember the Roscoby is now the “eyes of your bow” and will record what the bow see. (SEE FIGURE 3)

Tip 4

Making my footage “go in slow motion”. This tip may be the trickiest if you’re not familiar with editing software. Although you may use any editing software we are going to discuss Windows Movie Maker since Microsoft provides for free (it is probably preinstalled on your PC).

1) These simple steps will get you started. First find and launch Windows Movie Maker. Import into Collections your video clip. This is accomplished by selecting “File” and then selecting “Import into Collections… At this point you will need to find the where you have stored the .avi video file on you PC.
2) Once your video is imported into Windows Movie Maker you will see the footage. Depending on the file size Movie Maker may break it into smaller pieces so it is easier to edit.
3) Drag the video you want to put into ‘slow motion’ into the “show storyboard” at the bottom of the program. You may want to piece together multiple segments. Scroll down to the video effect called ‘Slow Down, Half’. Drag this onto the section that you want to put into slow motion. You may drag this multiple times if you want to make the video even slower.
4) Once you have completed your editing you will want to save the move for future viewing. This is accomplished by selecting “File” and then selecting “Save Movie File” and then following the instruction of the ‘Save Movie Wizard” (SEE FIGURE 4)

Note: You will also see many other ways to edit and enhance your footage. Your patience, desire and a little bit of creative thinking will allow you to make great movie shorts to share with your family and friends.
